Privacy policy
itini is a trip planner. This page says plainly what it keeps about you, why, who else handles it, and how to have it removed. It does not sell your data, show ads, or use tracking cookies.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics — your name, email address and profile picture, when you sign in with Google. We never see your Google password.
- What you put into a trip — its name, dates and destination; the stops, bookings, notes, costs, checklists and day notes you add; and files you attach (tickets, confirmations, screenshots).
- Who a trip is shared with — the people you invite and the role each has.
- Page views — counted by Vercel Analytics without cookies and without identifying you.
How it is used
Only to run itini for you: to sign you in, store and show your trips, share them with the people you choose, and work out things like opening hours, travel times, weather and currency. We do not use your trips for advertising or sell them to anyone.
Who else handles it
Some of the work is done by other services, each given only what that job needs:
- Google — sign-in; place search, place details and photos; maps; and travel times between stops. Searches and place lookups are sent to Google Maps Platform.
- Vercel — hosts the app and provides its page-view analytics.
- Neon — the database where your account, trips and attachments are stored.
- TypeSafe — when you paste text into a trip (a booking email, a list of places), that text is sent to TypeSafe’s API so it can be read into stops. Don’t paste anything you don’t want processed this way.
- Open-Meteo — daily weather, looked up by the trip’s location and dates.
- Frankfurter — exchange rates for your budget. Only currency codes are sent.
On your device
itini keeps a copy of trips you have opened on your device so they can be read without a signal, and remembers a few settings there (light or dark mode, folded days, a dismissed tip). A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in. Clearing your browser’s data for itini removes all of these.
Calendar links
A trip’s calendar subscription link lets a calendar app read that trip’s timed stops without signing in. Anyone you give the link to can read them, so share it as you would the trip itself.
How long we keep it
Your account and trips are kept while your account exists. A deleted trip is removed straight away, with its stops, notes and attachments. When you ask us to delete your account, everything tied to it is deleted within 30 days.
Your choices
You can see, change and delete your trips at any time in the app. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email rjsgmlcho@proton.me. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights over your data; write to the same address and we will help.
Children
itini is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes, and for large changes we will say so in the app.
